Changing your Medicare policy
Is it time to change your Medicare policy? How would you know?
Free Advice for Medicare policies
If you are eligible for Medicare, you are also eligible for free advice, help in comparing policies and deciding which is right for you. Your local Area Agency on Aging office has counselors from the Health Information Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP.)
Types of Medicare policies
Your needs change and so do Medicare policies. If you have “traditional” or “original” Medicare with a Medigap policy, you may find that a different Medigap policy will work better for you in the coming year. If you have a Medicare Advantage policy, you will want to check to see that your doctors are still “in network” and that your medicines will still be covered by the “formulary.” You will want to check coverage overall: it changes from year to year.
