We’re gearing up for the expectation of a long, hot summer here in Texas.
How can we protect ourselves?
How can we protect the elderly and those whose special needs who are especially susceptible to dehydration and heatstroke?
Fortunately, today we can do more than hang wet sheets and use hand fans.
There are battery-driven portable air conditioners and fans, and rechargers that will run off a car. The battery-driven air conditioners run as low as $50 to $100 and increase in price from there. The battery-driven fans run as low as $15.
This is a small price to pay for the security of knowing that we will survive whatever Mother Nature throws at us.
