Nursing homes all over the United States are evicting old and disabled residents and sending them to homeless shelters and rundown motels.
Nursing home evictions (also called involuntary discharges) can be disruptive and dangerous during normal times and even more so during a pandemic that preys on the elderly and those with underlying medical conditions.
Many of the evictions appear to violate federal rules.
